Transport for Dogs

Whether you are looking for transport for your dog/s within the UK, to or from Europe or further afield we can help.

You are welcome to travel with your pet or we can transport your dog/s on their own. transport for dogs

How many dogs we can transport depends on whether they will be transported on their own and if the owner/s are coming too - and how much luggage there is.

Our vehicles

Our vehicles are fitted and maintained to DEFRA standards with purpose fitted crates and comfortable bedding for those animals that are travelling alone.

Water is available at all times throughout the journey and if we're transporting dogs then we take regular breaks so the dog/s can stretch their legs and go to the toilet.  If the journey goes across a meal time we will feed them.

We have answered our most frequently asked questions below but feel free to get in touch to chat through any concerns you have. transport for dogs

PREPARING YOUR Dog/S  FOR THE JOURNEY

What your dog will need during the journey will of course depend on how long the journey will be.  If they are travelling on their own you are welcome to provide them with a familiar blanket or toy which they might find comforting.

FAQ's

Q. Do you transport pets across ferry routes?

A. If it is a requirement that your pet is transported by ferry, we can offer this service – however please be aware that the pet has to stay in the vehicle on the car deck and so we would not be able to stay with them for the whole trip as we would prefer to do.  This is one of the main reasons we choose not to transport animals via the ferry routes.

Q. What documentation do I need to bring my dog/s into the UK?

A. It depends where you're bring your dog from.  If you are within Europe then you won't need any documentation at all to bring your dog/s into the UK.  If you are bringing your dog/s in to the UK from further afield such as the USA or UAE, there are documents that you will require.  The requirements differ from country to country.  For more details on what you will require, please contact us or take a look at the DEFRA website.

A.The collection point will be discussed during the booking process.  We can collect you and/or your pet from anywhere across Europe.

Q. How many animals do you transport on each journey?

A. It varies.  We can transport up to 5 animals in our bigger vehicles if the animals are travelling without their owners.  If you wish to travel with your animals we can help with this too.  Numbers depend on the amount of animals/humans and luggage.

Q. What if the journey takes several days?

A. If your pet is travelling on their own, at no point will they be unsupervised.  Where an overnight stay is required, our driver will be booked into an animal friendly hotel.  If you are travelling with your pet, we can organise a hotel for you but it will be at an additional cost.
